Room installation with the “Hebammenchor Bern” / produced for Zentrum Paul Klee / Bern / 2005

For the museum’s opening ceremony I built an ambivalent set up in the main hall of the new museum for the museum’s opening ceremony.
A double split screen showed a female choir from the city, singing variations on the word “Yes”.
The biggest oven we could find in the city was positioned on a plinth in front of the screen and festively illuminated.
Inside the oven was Bern’s most famous festive cake (Berner Lebkuchen), one of the city’s main emblems, burning down with a lot of smog and stench
- a lot of dirt and smells for this brand new building.
